Natural Cleaning Recipes
Many of these cleaning recipes use essentials you probably already have on hand at home. Whether you copy them or put your own DIY spin on them, here are some popular cleaning recipes.
Mold & Mildew Cleaner
You’ll need:
1 cup white vinegar
20 drops tea tree essential oil
Pour the vinegar and tea tree oil into a glass spray bottle and stir to combine.
How To Use It:
Use the spray once a week to keep your tubs and showers free of mildew and mold. You can also use the spray to clean small spots of mold that are already present in your shower or tub.
Citrus Degreaser Spray
You’ll need:
2 cups warm water
2 Tbsp baking soda
2 tsp castile soap
20 drops lemon essential oil
How to use it:
Mix all of the ingredients together in a spray bottle.
How to use it:
Spray mixture on greasy messes and wipe with a damp sponge or cloth (microfiber works wonderfully!) Once the surface is clean, shine it up with a dry microfiber cloth.
Outside Window Cleaning Spray
You’ll need:
2 gallons warm water
1/2 cup dishwasher rinse aid
1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
1/4 cup ammonia
1/4 cup dishwasher detergent
Bucket
Hose with a sprayer attachment
How to use it:
Prepare the window cleaning solution by adding the warm water, rinse aid, rubbing alcohol, ammonia, and detergent to a bucket. Take the bucket outside along with a long handled cleaning brush, like a car wash mop or even a microfiber floor mop.
When you’re satisfied, spray windows thoroughly to rinse off the cleaning solution. Allow the glass to air dry, or use a squeegee to wipe off any remaining water, and continue around the house until all your windows are clean.
As always, let us know what you think.
Keeping you clean!
